Heavy: Lift With Caution
Sunday, August 19, 2012
Yesterday I flew in this plane, the Southern Cross.
It's an old WWII-era C-47 troop carrier, now modified for the tourist trade.
It was quite a bumpy ride, which was both thrilling and nauseating, but man...what a view. Here's a nice-shot of downtown Denver. Recognize any landmarks?
Things look different from 1000 feet
Highlights include: Confluence Park, Elitch Gardens, the Pepsi Center, Sports Authority Field, and I-25
Coors Field, under the wing
